I have to admit, this site is very girly-oriented with an explosive of pink and cutesy and frilly, featuring widdle cupcakes with widdle decorations.
But what about the men? Men like cakes and cupcakes too, don’t they?
In my internet travels I have found the testosterone influenced “Butch Bakery”. With the slogan “butch it up: these ain’t your Grandma’s cupcakes”, the Butch Bakery manifesto states:
“Our objective is simple. We’re men. Men who like cupcakes. Not the frilly pink-frosted sprinkles-and-unicorns kind of cupcakes. We make manly cupcakes. For manly men”.
Decorated with patterns such as camoflage, wood grain and checkerboard, these cupcakes also have ‘manly’ alcohol-infused flavours that read like a bar menu (B-52s, Side-car, Rum & Coke, and more).
Sadly, this bakery is based in New York. Oh, what I would give to get my paws on on a Kahlua-soaked cake with Bailey’s filling *sigh*.
Although I don’t think I’m man enough for the chocolate & beer cake with beer frosting and pretzels. Nor the peanut butter and banana creme with bacon bits. The boys can keep those ones thank-you-very-much

Cool idea, but I think that cupcakes are still so inherently girly that these just look like crossdressing cupcakes. Having said that, I quite like the idea of crossdressing cupcakes, so this is not a bad thing.
Hmm… metrosexual cakes, maybe? I love the idea; I love the idea of a burly tattoo’d mustachioed macho man nomming a cupcake even more
Oh my gosh!! This is awesome – we have a family with 4 nieces and birthdays are always pink and fluffy with all the men hovering, trying to “manly” eat their pink cupcakes – now we have the soliution!! AWESOME!!!
Love these! They certainly look good and with my cupcake addiction I wish I could taste them.

Hehe at the camouflage cupcake! I still love the pinkness and girliness of cupcakes but they are very cute!
