I Have a Present For You :)

October 6, 2010

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

Hi lovelies!

How are you this fine October? Having a marvellous day so far? To make your day even more awesome-er, I have a present for not one, but two of you!!! Thank you for stumbling upon this little baking corner of the internet. I really value your visits and I hope your day is a little more cake-a-fied in return.

Would you like the Frankie 2011 Diary or Sweet Treats recipe book?

Sweet Treats is the second recipe book by the folks at Frankie. It is packed with nostalgic recipes: candy hearts, mint patties, peanut brittle, caramels, lollipops, truffles, turkish delight and honey joys.

Or you can have a copy of Frankie Magazine’s first diary. A cloth bound, hard-cover 12 month journal in mint green, with double-page layout, full calendar, birthdays, a cute notes to self section and gorgeous illustrated backgrounds in the darling Frankie style.

Why the giveaway? This silly little Cake Mistress bungled her online order and ended up with double copies of each. So I’d love to giveaway the extra copies to two of my super-amazing readers.

So, how do you enter? My dears, there are no strings attached. There’s no need to RT a link, spam 10 of your friends, become my minion, or pledge to me your first born child first successful batch of macarons. Although that would be pretty great. Maybe next time, he he. Simply let me know:

  • whether you want the Sweet Treats recipe book or the Frankie 2011 Diary, either by leaving a comment on this post or by sending me an email at by 31st October 2010, 11:59pm EST
  • Your email address so I can get in touch with you if you win. If leaving a comment, please fill out the email address box.

I’ll be picking two winners randomly, so the content of your message is completely up to you. Leave me a smiley face, a joke, a pic of your latest kitchen triumph, a link to your favourite recipe, or a blank comment open to deep, abstract philosophical interpretation … whatever floats your boat.

Because this is a giveaway, here are the Terms of Entry:

1. Entries only open to Australian residents, sorry. I love you all though! NOW OPEN TO INTERNATIONAL ENTRANTS.

2. You can enter as many times as you like.

3. Two winners will be drawn at random on the 31st October 2010 11:59pm EST, and the winners will be notified by email. One winner will be posted one copy of the Frankie 2011 Diary and one winner will be posted one copy of the Frankie Sweet Treats recipe book according to their stated preference.

4. To enter, please leave a comment on this post, or send an email to , telling me whether you prefer a copy of the Frankie 2011 Diary or the Frankie Sweet Treats recipe book. Please supply a valid email address with each entry as I will need this email to contact you if you are a winner.

5. The Cake Mistress respects your privacy and does not give your information away to third parties, pirates, ninjas, spammers, mailing lists or other nefarious creatures on the internet.

  • How fabulous is this?? One persons blunder is another persons treasure :o ) You are even sweeter than your name O Cake Mistress hehe….I unfortunately dont live in Australia but waaaaaay away at the southernmost tip of Africa. But I have a very lovely friend who does live in Oz who I know would be most happy to have either but I would choose the journal for her. Have sent you an email with her details. Thank you xx

  • Cuteness! ME PLEASE!! :)

  • Aw, but I wanted to get rid of my first born child! :P I’d love to win the Sweet Treats book… my blog is enough of a diary for me at the moment ;)

P.S. I’m not quite sure what to do about my email… twitter is the only way Disqus is letting me log in to comment here?!

  • It’s very lovely of you but I don’t wish to have either – I’ve just bought a diary for next year and i’m sure the sweet treats cookbook is deserving of a better home! I’m commenting though because I wanted to tell you what I saw recently – on a visit to a gallery with some little arcade rooms in sydney, was one that solely hosted a wealth of very cute frankie goodness, including their cookbooks plus notebooks with covers from old dress patterns stitched together with wool, and a place to sit. I think you would’ve liked the space :)

  • I would live the Frankie sweet treats recipe book! Thanks for the international love!

    <3 @P_jamie

  • I’d love to get my dirty little mittens on the diary. Consider me entered!

  • Hi Cherrie. It was lovely to meet you and your beautiful daughter too. Can’t wait to catch-up at the next picnic. Hope it’s soon!

  • Hey Charlie! Ohmeegosh that venue in Sydney sounds super-cute!! Desperately need to schedule a trip to Sydney to check-out all their cool places. Thanks :)

  • What a choice, either would be amazing, but with my poor poor organisational skills I probably need that diary.

  • Oh I want the diary so bad!! It is the most beautiful diary I have ever seen. Pretty please pick me!

  • Ooo! Pick me! Pick me! I want the Sweet Treats book, please! xo

  • I love frankie!! I would love the agenda.
